Since its birth forty years ago as the "First Inland Oceanarium", the Aquarium of Niagara has seen over 7.5 million visitors, tourists, teachers, and students pass through its doors. It was the first aquarium to use synthetic seawater to exclusively maintain marinelife. More than forty exhibits showcase 1,500 aquatic animals from around the globe.
